Ipad Air vs Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition): A Review

Let me just start by saying that there is no right or wrong choice here, it is really going to come down to preference. I'm also going to say that this review will be void of all that technical mambo-jumbo because lets be honest here...most of us don't really know what all that means.

Lets talk about the Ipad Air first (and I'll do my best to not be biased here). When Apple first hit the scene YEARS ago with the Ipod, I was able to get my hands on one and loved it.  From there I muddled my way through the different versions while dreaming of one day owning my own Macbook.  Having always used windows when the day came for my Macbook I was so disappointed and ultimately when back to windows.  Even after having my taste of Mac and not liking it, I still desperately wanted an Ipad.  When Tmobile started financing them, of course I was there in the story getting my hands on a 32 gb Ipad Air.  While I wasn't disappointed with it, after using it for about a month my feelings towards it were "Eh." I felt like it was more of a status thing, because it was "Apple".  I didn't have any real complaints about it but I had always viewed a tablet as a extremely portable laptop.  The Ipad fell VERY short of this.  I found that there were a lot of apps that while compatible, weren't made for the Ipad but for the Iphone.  So while they worked, they just looked a little funny.  I used this a lot while laying in bed but wanting to write, but found it difficult to sit comfortably with it.  In portrait, it was easy to use your thumbs like when texting on a phone, but after a while my hands would get tired.  When in landscape, it was more like typing on a computer but with a really cramped key board, so again my hands would hurt after a while.  Using the Kindle app was really nice, no complaints there.  I used it on a 6 hour car ride from Florida to Georgia to read with no issue.  I also used this a lot for Movies, using apps like Netflix, Vudu, and Disney Movies Anywhere.  The sound was sometimes an issue as it wasn't very loud forcing me to watch with subtitles or headphones.  I never experienced a problem with the transition from app to app, didn't experience a lot of crashing of apps, the camera was alright (but I never really used it) and the back light on it was pretty nice.  Also the battery life on it is insane.  I could go DAYS without charging with moderate use, but watching movies did seem to drain it more.  So all in all it was a nice experience nothing to really complain about however, I do have one HUGE complaint.

The Ipad is GARBAGE when it comes to being used in ANY type of light, especially outside. You want to lay out in the sun and watch a movie, maybe read a little?  Forget it.  Its not happening. Period.  I tried to lay out and tan, and I put the Ipad under the table so it was in the shade and STILL couldn't see the picture, ended up just looking at myself.  Now I don't know if this can be solved with a non reflective screen protector, I never tried.  My second complaint would be the inability to expand the storage.  I had a 32gb device and with my movies this was an issue.  Obviously a movie file is a large file, but there isn't a way for you to store your movies.  So its pretty distressing or upsetting to have to choose what movies get to stay and which ones have to go.

Now.  This tablet right here? This makes the Ipad look like an expensive paperweight.  To be fair, I will probably have to do an update on this review or revisit a review on this tablet because I've had it less than 12 hours.  Lets start with complaints - So far my two complaints would be the fact that the 2014 Edition doesn't come in white, only black.  While this isn't a huge issue, me being mildly OCD, would have liked it to match my phone (I have a Galaxy S5 in white).  The other complaint is that the screen doesn't seem to turn off.  Like on my phone if I leave it sit inactive eventually the screen goes dark, or if you push a button to turn the screen on and leave it sit inactive it will go dark.  The tablet doesn't seem to do that, unless I push the lock button.  I'm thinking this is just a setting that I haven't found yet to adjust.

On to the fun stuff!! This tablet is AMAZING when it comes to all the things it will do and if I was more tech savy I'm sure it would do so much more for me! One of the things I love most is its ability to multi-task!

As you can see this pictures shows 4 different apps running at one time.  Looks like they have the ChatOn app, the gallery, Google maps, and an internet window open.  You can certainly run more than these four windows but I haven't found a way yet to put one in the foreground, they just overlap and get in the way so you constantly have to move it.  But split even like this you just select which window you want to work in.  As I mentioned before I do a lot of writing, so I was able to actively run my Google Doc app on one side and Facebook on the other side.  I found that Facebook updated in real time, so I didn't have to click on that box and refresh.  While I don't think my feed refreshed on its on, it did alert me if I received a notification.  Tonight I'm going to try and run my Doc apps on one side and Netflix on the other to see if I can write and watch movies/tv at the same time.

I wish I was more artist inclined because the integration between stylus and tablet is off the wall.  The picture above was drawn on the tablet using the stylus.  Now this does take a very steady head and a still surface but it would be very easy to achieve anything you wanted to draw if you held such talents.  Seeing as my skills are more writing based, I probably won't get much use out of the Sketch pad app but let me tell you...I can draw some pretty awesome stick figures with this thing!!!  Another feature I really enjoy with the stylus is the little button on the side of the stylus itself.  Think of it as a "Select" or "Enter" button on the pen.  When you hover the stylus over the screen and push the button, a shortcut menu opens up.  I haven't played with all the options but there is a feature called "Scrapbook" that allows you to use the stylus to "crop" pictures or parts of documents from any application and store them in your scrapbook to view/use later.  There is also an option that allows you to draw a box anywhere on the screen and any size, then open an app in it.  Now this feature is limited to the apps that it can open I believe but its till a fun feature! So far I've also found that I can use the pen to take a screen shot (then write on or draw on said screen shot) and also use the pen to select certain pictures, or parts of documents to save.

This tablet seems like its perfect for anyone who is constantly on the go, loves being able to have more than one thing open on the screen at a time, and it is the perfect companion for professionals.  For anyone who uses a Galaxy phone you're already use to not only the operating system but also all the wonderful things Samsung offers...only on steroids! This tablet does feel a smidge heavier than an Ipad but it also feels more sturdy than the Ipad, I'm not afraid of breaking this one.  While I'm sure I'll run into the same problems, writing wise, the Galaxy Note puts the Swype feature to good use with the stylus and also provides the ability of turning your hand writing to text.

My over all opinion on the two tablets is this - When comparing side by side spec wise sure there are minor difference that lead the buyer to stick with what they know.  If you have an Iphone you will lean more towards the Ipad and vice versus.  I urge any Apple user to look past the operating system, give yourself a few minutes to get used to the drastic difference between operating systems, and really get to know the Note.  Honestly, the Note makes the Ipad look like an expensive, obsolete paper weight.  After having both, I really feel like I went to Amazon and tried to order a knock off tablet and ended up with the Ipad. As you can see there were more pictures included for the Note than the Ipad and thats for a reason.  The bottom line is the Note does more than the Ipad.  Plain and simple.

How To: Messy topknot bun

Happy Father's days to all the real men who step up and take care of their kids and to all the moms pulling double duty!!

I also want to say hello to all the people reading from Venezuela, Russia, Australia, and Ukraine! Its so insane to think that people on the other side of the world are reading my blogs!!

Today I wanted to put together a how to for the super cute, messy topknot buns that have become SUPER popular!! I have tried to achieve this look for MONTHS and my bun is either cute or messy, but never both. Last night I got lost in the world of youtube, starting out with videos about pit bulls and some how ended up on how to sculpt the perfect eye brow and how tos for the perfect messy bun.  I found a video that I really liked and I loved the result she had but thought to myself "Ugh. My hair will NEVER do that!!".  Thanks to a bit of insomnia, I found myself in front of the mirror attempting to follow her instructions.

This was the result the first time I tried it, beginners luck! Today when attempting to pull of the same thing, it took me several tries but ultimately I'm still happy with it!! Considering I had such good results I wanted to share the video on my blog! So check out the video below then go try it on your hair and let me know how it works for you!

Some important points to remember:
  • This will work best on dirty hair
  • It also works better if you don't brush your hair.  If you have to brush your hair, do so but then run your fingers through it several times to get that un-brushed look.
  • It is really important to follow her instructions when she says to not wrap the hair tie around the base.  If you do, when you start to pull at the bun it totally comes apart.

Car Accidents, Chiropractors, and Chick - Fil - A

Last month, the day before my birthday, I was involved in what most would consider a minor fender bender.  Any one who has been in a car accident knows that the things your body goes through is not always considered minor.  This is the 3rd accident I've been in and thankfully none of them have been my fault.  The first accident totaled my car and the other two I've been rear ended.  This last one...messed me up pretty bad.  The damage to my car isn't too bad, but it did leave a pretty nice dent in my bumper and pushed my trunk door out of place.  I just left the chiropractor today finding out that my spin is has a slight curve to it, my neck is curving the wrong way, and every point in my body that should make a straight line doesn't.  My shoulders do not sit even like they should, I get a headache almost every day sometimes two times a day, and forget sleeping at night.  I have a hard time flat ironing my hair because of the position I have to hold my head...and for any of you women with curly hair, you know what level of distress it is to not be able to flat iron your hair!  With all of this going on, for the last month, my insurance company has been trying to track down a policy for the woman who hit me.  The information that was provided to the Cop at the scene of the accident was the wrong information so when my company tired to find it to file a claim they couldn't find it.  Today I got the phone call that they had located a policy, but that it was filed under a different name and policy number.

At first I was really excited that they had found a policy!  This means that all my medical bills, all my prescriptions, the damage to the car, and pain and suffering will be paid for!! But now that I've had some time to think about it I'm growing more concerned.  This woman hit me and provided false information at the scene of the accident, the policy while valid is listed under someone else with a totally different policy number, and its been a month and my insurance company just filed a claim with them.  The at fault party hadn't even filed the claim!  I bet they thought they were going to get away scott free and not have to pay for anything!  Its also unsettling because if the accident was never reported, what if the at fault party doesn't have proper coverage?  I could still be left holding the bill for a lot of something that wasn't my fault!! None the less I have to have faith that everything will turn out as it should!
Until next time lovelies!!!

P.S - Don't forget to check out my blog about Origami Owl!! My party ends on the 15th, so you only have a few days to get your orders placed!!

My Favorites: Movies (Current top 3)

So it seemed like some of my most popular posts were my "How To" and "My Favorites", but also my posts regarding my hair.  Seeing as I don't have anything going on with my hair right now, I thought I would try to do more of the "Favorites" blog!

I absolutely love movies. To almost a disgusting level.  My collection doesn't come close to those who have walls of movies (I had a friend who's movie room, the walls from floor to ceiling, were nothing but movies!) but I started my collection a few months ago and I'm up to almost 300 movies!  I've been playing with the idea of doing reviews but for now I thought I would just post some of my favorite movies for starts!

http://frame2interlace.files.wordpress.com/2012/05/a-very-long-engagement.jpg
This movie. Ugh this movie.  I watch this movie every time I start to have any doubts about love, any time I'm not feeling well, or anytime I just need a little bit of hope!  The entire movie is in French with the option for English subtitles.  If I'm not mistaken its based off of a book and I would love to read it but I've yet to find a copy of the book translated to English.  I wish I cold read French because I'm sure the translation of the book isn't as good. "Tells the story of a young woman's relentless search for her fiancé, who has disappeared from the trenches of the Somme during World War One." - taken from imdb.com as a very brief description of the movie. My favorite quote from the movie comes from the very opening scene and reads as follows:
"If Manech were dead, Mathilde would know. Since the death notice, she subbornly holds on to her intuition , like to a flimsy wire. She never gets discouraged. And Mathilde is of a cheerful disposition. If that wire doesn't lead her to her lover, never mind...she can always use it as a noose."

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a5/TPOBAW-cover.jpg
When this movie released I thought "Meh. I could watch it." and I patiently waited for it hit my Netflix Que.  I didn't have high hopes for the movie, figured it would be the movie that you just kind of go "Well...I guess I could buy it but only after it hits the $5 bin at Walmart." Oh my god was I wrong.  This movie had me laid on my stomach, with my face in my hands, staring at the screen.  I was completely sucked into this movie!  Emma Watson (Sam) did a wonderful job and it was a bit unexpected to hear her pull off an American accent, there were words you could tell she struggled with but the fact that she is stunning makes up for it.  Logan Lerman (Charlie) is breath taking.  He portrays the shy, nervous, outcast freshman perfectly.  Ezra Miller (Patrick) is everything I want him to be as Patrick.  Now I have yet to read the book, I've started it and I'm okay with it so far but I stay so busy that its hard for me to have the time to sit down and read. With that being said, I could not picture any other actors for this movie. Emma, Logan, and Ezra are absolutely perfect.  You will be able to relate to the movie and its characters.  You will laugh, you will cry, your heart will break a little, and you will fall in love.  "An introvert freshman is taken under the wings of two seniors who welcome him to the real world." - imdb.com
Mary Elizabeth: (After Charlie has handed them a bag of gifts) "Wait a second, there's only Secret Santa presents. There's rules!
Patrick:
"Mary Elizabeth, why are you trying to EAT Christmas?"

I have a mild obsession with music inclined movies.  Its a little hard to decide which one was going to make the list but I had to go with "Burlesque" because who doesn't love Christina and Cher?  I'm a sucker for the come up movies where the lead character starts with nothing and really makes a name fore themselves.  I also have to give credit to Cher who is like...God I don't know how old and she is STILL working it and killing it!! Then you have Christina who is just...to die for.  I remember growing up listening to her! The catchy songs, the amazing costumes, and the shoes are any woman's dream.  "A small-town girl ventures to Los Angeles and finds her place in a neo-burlesque club run by a former dancer." - imdb.com

Origami Owl: Playing Host

About a week ago my friend Christina (her blog is listed to the right!) came to me with this really awesome opportunity to "host" an online jewelry party for Origami Owl.  I fell in love with the product right away.  The "to the moon and back" one above is probably my favorite one to date.

Origami owl is custom jewelry that you put together from start to finish. You pick your locket and chain, your charms, your dangles, or a plate maybe.  Christina used her locket to tell a story about her son and my friend Sara used hers to tell the story of a baby she lost.  Mine will show my love do Harry Potter and I want to do a second one to show my love for my other half.

I can't wait to make mine and to tell people what it means to me.   My party ends on the 15th of this month.  Follow the link below the next picture to take a look at all the different options.  If you decide to place an order make sure you also use the link below! Share it with your friends and family too!

My Favorites: Face Products!

Over the weekend I posted a blog about products that I like to use for my hair!  Today I wanted to put one up about things I use on my face, from make up to face wash! Like with all things please keep in mind that everyone's skin is different and will react differently. My skin is oily and prone to black heads.  I don't experience acne like I did in high school but I do still get the occasional break out!

http://embarrassingproducts.com/wp-content/uploads/Proactive_Reviews_for_Acne_Treatment.jpg
In high school a friend of mine had a subscription to the Proactiv line, but she never used all of it in a month before her next box would come.  So I started using this because my acne was average for a teenager but I thought it was just the worst.  This product not only cleared up my skin but it also made it smooth and even, removed black heads, and evened out the tone.  If you have severe acne, even just moderate acne, and have the money to spend on a monthly subscription this would be my top recommendation.

I love just about every product by Clean & Clear.  Their blackhead eraser is my favorite!  I use it every time I shower and it does wonders at getting rid of those pesky black heads that get in the crease of my nose and on my chin.  With it being a scrub it also helps get rid of dead skin and keeps my face smooth!  I use this after wearing make up too, its great for getting the makeup out of my pores!

This is actually something I've started using recently because I noticed that in pictures my pores looked really big.  It makes my make up look like its caked on even when it doesn't.  I'm not sure if I see a difference in my skin, I probably should have paid better attention!  But this does help keep the skin from feeling dry when I get out of the shower.

Being the victim of oily skin this means that I use face washes that sometimes leave my skin feeling really dry.  This moisturizer from Clean & Clear is amazing.  Its oil free and perfume free so it doesn't cause me to break out.  Its also light weight and doesn't clog pores!

Now this is another one of those things that I'm not sure what its supposed to do exactly, but from what it says its supposed to help with wrinkles.  Its a primer you use before putting on your makeup with a soft tint to it.  I like using it because a primer fills in fine lines and what not BEFORE you put on your foundation.  It helps make your skin appear smoother and your make up have that "touched up" look like the models.  I also like the light tint this have because it makes your skin look brighter, or like you have a soft glow. Who doesn't want that!?

This is the "Fit" stick foundation by Maybelline.  Its supposed to be "shine free" and I maybe it would be...I don't know because I hate this stuff.  I don't know how to properly use a stick foundation so I just kind of smear it on then do my best to spread it out.  The foundation isn't thin enough or light enough to just run all over your face then blend and but its thick enough that spreading it is difficult once its on your face.  Once its on it looks heavy and my skin feels like it can't breathe.  It feels like i have layers upon layers of make up caked onto my face.  If anyone knows the proper way to use this do tell because the idea of having "shine free" make up is awesome...just not at the cost of caking the make up on!

If you are into the cream/liquid foundations - the Dream Fresh BB from Maybelline is my favorite! It gives a GREAT coverage, doesn't feel thick and globbed on and it doesn't look like you're wearing a lot of makeup.  I tend to be a bit heavy handed when it comes to liquid foundations so I always end up with too much on.  I found with this that no matter how much I put on, I always had a smooth finish and it didn't look heavy on my skin.  I also found that this product didn't cause me to break out, even after falling victim to being too tired to take my make up off before bed time! I also love it because it has an SPF in it and being from Florida, I can't tell you how important it is to wear something with an SPF in it.  While I love my sun kissed skin as much as the next girl, I love not having skin cancer and sun spots even more!

My runner up for liquid foundations would be the smart shade by Almay.  If you're anything like me you constantly find yourself standing in the foundation isle saying "Oh my goodness. What shade am I!?"  and of course your old foundation has been through hell and back so the number has worn off the bottom so you have no idea what you even got before.  The smart shade line comes in only 3 (maybe 4) shades - light, medium, and dark.  There might be a shade between but I can't remember.  The foundation goes on white, with what looks like little color beads in it.  When you rub it in it changes color to match your skin tone.  The only way I can explain this is magic!  I like the foundation well enough, it does feel a little heavy but it spreads really easy so you don't have to use a lot of it.  However, I did find that if you don't blend it properly it will streak and if you aren't careful you can see where the foundation is around your jaw/neck area.  As you can see this also has an SPF in it!

Now this is "Physicians Formula" mineral make up and it is my FAVORITE! I have always loved mineral make up but I can't afford the Bare Minerals (yet!) so I thought I'd give this a try.  I got it around Christmas time on sale in a box set.  The big one is your powder foundation, the top right one is your bronzer, and the pink one is your blush.  It goes on really well, not needing a lot to get coverage of your entire face, and after all is said in done you are left with a really even look.  If you've ever had your make up airbrushed the finish of this powder is almost just like the same look!! It is so light on your skin that I don't even realize I'm wearing it!! There are a couple down sides for me and I'm sure these are personal - I have found it hard to use this make up with a primer and I have found that If I sleep in this make up, then apply a touch up the next morning (admit it, we've all done it!) I do get small pimples.  They pop and go away but still I get them. It also makes my black heads act up if I don't wash it off.  I found that getting some make up remover wipes solved this problem because it took out the hassle of washing my face!

One of the most important features next to your skin is your teeth!! Not all of us (sadly!) can have a perfectly white smile like the stars do!! When I was in high school I was obsessed with having white teeth but couldn't very well go to the dentist to have them whitened! Then my junior year I chipped my front teeth and have to have them fixed.  The material used was matched to the color of my teeth and I was told that if I whitened I might end up with front teeth that are two different colors.  Naturally I have always been EXTREMELY careful while whitening to make sure this doesn't happen.  I have tried just about every product under $20 and this tooth paste is the best to date!! I've tried strips but those made my teeth feel really sensitive, so much that they would just ache when I wasn't doing anything. Trays are messy and make you drool...not a cute look!  But the "Glamorous White" from the "Crest 3D White Luxe" removes up to 90% of stains in 5 days then continues to keep your teeth from staining further.  Being a smoker and drinking a lot of sweet tea during the day...I am amazed at how white my teeth stay.

Please feel free to ask questions if you have any!!

My Favorites: Hair Products!!

It's been far too long since I've blogged anything, don't worry I'm going to start getting better about this again!
A lot has gone on in my personal life, things I'm not ready to write about.

I've had a lot of people ask me about products I use for my hair
& my face.
So today I thought I would put some kind of review together for everything I have ever tried starting with Hair products!

Hair
I have tried several different things in my hair.
I have thick, curly hair that I've kept long and layered for most of my life.
I've colored it more times than I can keep track of and tried so many different things.
Please keep in mind that everyone's hair is different so the outcome will be different.
(Check out my blog on having Pink hair!)

For Hair Color: I always try to buy my color from Sally's.  Sure it costs more but the turn out is worth it.
I only buy color from Wal-Mart when I have to or I need to float between coloring.
Colors purchased from places like Wal-Mart, Big Lots, or any other major retail store have a lot of water in the color.  This means that the color will fade faster
and sometimes won't take as well.
Its also just all around cheap.
Trust me. This is your hair...don't be cheap!
I prefer liquid color because the cremes are harder to get out of the tube and harder to mix once in the bottle.
The color I'm currently using though is a creme so don't let it scare you!
http://www.collective-beauty.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/SAM_2752.jpg
This ^ Is probably the most amazing leave in conditioner you could ever buy.
I am a nut about conditioner.
I've tried all kinds and this one is by far my favorite.
It will cost your first unborn child (About $30-$40 for a large bottle unless you know a hair stylist that can get it for you) but
It takes only a little bit and its money I can justify spending.
Since you only use maybe three sprays each use, a bottle will last a while.
I had one of the smaller bottles and it lasted me a good 6 months or more.
I love the one with Keratin.
The keratin, while having many benefits, will help not only tame frizzy curls but
will also slowly "pull" the curl out.
Its not a permanent straightener but overtime you'll notice less curl in your hair
but once you stop using the product the curl will slowly return.
My sister, who has medium thickness and log straight hair, uses the regular
leave in and loves it!
Her hair is less frizzy, shiny, soft, and feels healthier!
I first found this product after visiting a salon and having my hair professionally colored.
It was severely damaged/over processed.  It was so bad that my hair was like pulling a piece of elastic (which is VERY bad) and would tangle just running your fingers through it!
This product brought it back and then some!
I hope that one day I'll be able to try their other products!!
I am currently using the Its a 1o leave in conditioner after taking my red hair and going blonde!  As you can imagine it definitely did some damage on my hair but In the 2 weeks that I've been using this I've noticed a HUGE difference.

http://img.allw.mn/content/beauty/2013/05/6_paul-mitchell-tea-tree-shampoo.jpg
Not only do I have thick, curly hair, I suffer from dry scalp.
I'm usually able to control this by not using a lot of hair product/chemicals,
and not washing my hair every single day.
(I wash every 2-3 days to keep the natural oils in my hair)
Sometimes though my dandruff strikes with a vengeance!
Paul Mitchell's Tea Tree line would have to be my number 1 dandruff shampoo.
However, being Paul Mitchell that means that yes, its expensive!
Now...I don't like to skimp when it comes to my hair products
but sometimes telling myself to spend $60 for shampoo & conditioner is a little much.
BUT! If you have the money, def get this!
It feels so good on the scalp, makes it all tingly and your hair feels really clean afterwards!
If you need a good dandruff shampoo and are on a budget
I always reach for Head and Shoulders!
But never the 2-n-1, those never work for me.

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51ZNoLJGnQL._SY300_.jpg
If you're just looking for a really good line, Aussie is the way to go.
They're affordable and they smell great!
You're looking at about $12 for a big bottle of shampoo and conditioner.
I also really love their 3 minute miracle conditioner!http://www.ry.com.au/media/catalog/product/cache/1/image/700x700/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/g/h/ghd-wonderland-straightener.jpg
Now this beauty is a GHD flat iron and the one pictured is the one I actually own.
First let me say that you will not find this in a store.  You can either order it online or ask your stylist about picking one up for you.
Second, be ready to pay a pretty penny for it.
Third, IT IS WORTH THE MONEY.Over the years I have been through COUNTLESS flat irons mainly because they have a life of about 1-2 years before I'm left standing in the isle at Wal-Mart trying to pick another one.  This flat iron heats up to about 360 degrees, but has a smart chip in it that monitors how hot your hair is and will lower the temperature if its too hot.  This feature keeps you from frying your hair so I no longer feel the need for product for heat protection.  It takes me half the time to fix my hair AND My hair stays straight.
I don't experience frizz during the day and I can flat iron my hair the
night before, sleep on it, and have very minimal touch up in the morning.
I also find that I can go about 2 days of wearing my hair down
without touch ups before my hair is too oily.
It also has a 2 year warranty (with a pretty awesome loop hole. If you return it within the 2 years and they send you a new one, that one is then covered under a 2 year warranty. )
I got mine as a birthday present and it was on sale (because it was purchased through my stylist) so it ran about $130 I believe.

Last month I decided I was going to take the plunge to be a blonde.  But my hair had so much old color on it, it had red in it, and my roots had grown out so much and were dark brown/black (my natural color) that my stylist decided the best thing to do would be to do heavy highlights, until my hair was primarily blonde.
Of course when we started bleaching the ends of my hair were lift all the way to a baby pink, other spots liftd to a light red shade, and the parts we
didn't bleach still had red in them.
Then over look after being styled was pretty cool but we were in the air
about putting a toner in it to help get some of the red, pink, and weird gold colors.
We decided against it but she told me to get this shampoo. Its a slow toner, everytime you wash your hair you leave it sit for about 3 minutes and it slowly tones your blonde.
I didn't want to tone it too much or too quickly so I use this every couple of washes but it has taken out almost all the pink, turned my red to a pretty brown color, and taken that weird gold color in my blonde! So if you're a blonde and your locks are looking a little dull, I definitely recommended this stuff!

And thats it!  Those are all of my top picks in no real order for my hair! I do not use gel or hair spray in my hair, or at least VERY rarely.  Using a lot of product
means that I have to wash my hair sooner!  I know it may sound gross but believe me. Skipping a wash is actually really good for your lovely locks.
The natural oils do WONDERS for your hair, especially if you
have hair that tends to be a little frizzy.  The
natural oils will help to control this! So the the next time you flat
iron your hair, feel no shame in putting together
a messy bun for a couple days!!
